Description
The Southeast Alaska Power Agency (SEAPA) is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide material, equipment, machinery, tools, labor, transportation, and other means to clear, trim and cut trees and brush that can grow to a height that would compromise SEAPA's transmission line on Vank Isaldn near the communities of Petersburg (located on Mitkof Island) and Wrangell (located on Wrangell Island) in Southeast Alaska. Vank Island is approximately 6 miles south of Mitkof Island or 8.5 miles northwest of Wrangell Island by boat. Petersburg and Wrangell can be accessed by vessels, fixed-wing aircraft, or regularly scheduled jet service. The area to be brushed on Vank Island is accessible by boat, helicopter, or float-equipped fixed-wing aircraft. Bids are due February 5, 2021 at 4:00 PM AKST.
